I’m a Welsh multidisciplinary sound based in NE Wales.  My practice explores the ecology of culture & traditions, set within our landscape & environment, tracing elements of folklore.  My output spans composition, sound, installation, costume, performance, visuals & social practice, with my participatory sound work playfully exploring the relationship between audience & creator.  I like to create space for the public to interact with & activate my work.  I’ve recently been researching climate justice within my practice & this has sparked a new line of enquiry into kinetic sound sculpture.

As a multi-instrumentalist I compose using a wide range of instruments, voice, sampled sounds & field recordings. I’ve undertaken projects with Sound UK, Ty Cerdd, English Folk Song & Dance Society, NMC Recordings & ACW/ACE and my music has been played on Late Junction, BBC Radio 6, Radio Wales & Radio Cymru.

As a collaborator I’ve worked extensively with visual storytelling companies (The Paper Cinema & 1927) alongside freelance ad hoc projects. I’m currently a member of Bristol’s creative tech studio, Pervasive Media Studios Watershed, and part of Sound & Music’s Composer Advisory Group.
